J. Joseph Roman, CPA/PFS, MST

Managing Director/Wealth Adviser

Joe is Managing Director/Wealth Adviser  and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) of Main Street Financial Life Advisors, LLC and Roman & Company, LLC (our affiliated CPA firm).  He is responsible for managing existing client relationships and formulating and implementing advice. He provides strategic leadership, planning and broad executive management to achieve the firm’s strategic objectives.  He also plans and directs all aspects of our organization’s investment programs and oversees the research, evaluation, and selection of investment vehicles.  As CCO, he is responsible for developing and monitoring the firm’s compliance program, ensuring that all activities meet the requirements of regulatory agencies.

Prior to establishing the firm in 1999, Joe was a Tax Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP (formerly Coopers & Lybrand) in Philadelphia and subsequently a Partner with Zook, Dinon PA (formerly Zook, Dinon & Roman, P.A. Certified Public Accountants) in Moorestown, New Jersey.

In his thirty years of experience as a CPA and financial advisor, Joe has an extensive knowledge of wealth management issues including tax, investment and personal financial planning. He also assists clients with retirement planning, social security optimization, and estate planning matters.

Joe holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from LaSalle University and a Master of Science Degree in Taxation from Widener University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). In addition, he holds the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation awarded by the AICPA to CPA’s with a considerable amount of professional experience in financial planning and holds the (NASD) Series 65 License.

As a dedicated father of three boys, Joe has been a Den Leader and Treasurer for the Cub Scouts and a baseball manager for the Moorestown Youth Baseball Federation (MYBF). He also served as Treasurer and a member of the Board of Trustees for the Moorestown Rowing Club (MRC).  He is currently serving as Treasurer and a member of the Board of Trustees for The Baptist Home of South Jersey, Inc. D/B/A Riverview Estates (a non-profit assisted living facility in Riverton, New Jersey).

Matthew Kulpa, CPA, MBA

Wealth Manager

Matt is a Wealth Manager with the responsibility for managing existing client relationships as well as formulating and implementing advice.  He manages daily activities (i.e.: trading and reporting) within our operations and serves as an intermediary between staff and Lead Advisors.  He is also responsible for providing tax planning advice and the preparation of tax returns.

Prior to joining the firm in 2009, Matt was an Assurance Associate in the Investment Management Group at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP in Philadelphia. He was responsible for performing audit functions on a variety of investment instruments including mutual funds, hedge funds and annuity products.

Matt is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and holds the (NASD) Series 65 license.

Currently, Matt is a member of the Board of Trustees of Roman Catholic High School (Philadelphia) where he often speaks to the students about financial literacy, college planning, and the accounting profession.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from LaSalle University as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from LaSalle University.

Mark Sulpizio, MS Tax

Lead Advisor

Mark W. Sulpizio is a founding partner in the financial and employee benefit consulting firm of Innovative Benefit Planning, L.L.C., located in Cinnaminson, New Jersey.

Mark began his financial planning and benefit consulting practice upon graduating from the Pennsylvania State University in 1984. He has also completed his Masters of Science in Taxation from Philadelphia University, formerly the Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science.

Mark focuses his efforts on the needs of business owners and executives, assisting with the development and coordination of their business and financial plans. Mark also manages the Qualified Plan practice of the firm.

Mark is a member of the Moorestown Breakfast Rotary Club and Vistage International. He resides in Moorestown, New Jersey with his wife, Terriann, and children, William, Ariana and Elias.

Janet M. Bennett, CPA/PFS, MBA

Tax Manager

Jan is a Tax Manager with the responsibility for managing existing individual tax and trust client relationships.  She is also responsible for providing financial planning, tax planning and retirement advice to our clients.

Prior to joining the firm, she was a financial analyst with Vlasic Foods International and its spin-off parent Campbell Soup Company. At Campbell’s she held a variety of financial positions in audit, management information systems, sales and cost accounting. She started her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP (formerly Coopers & Lybrand, LLP) in Philadelphia.

Jan holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from LaSalle University and a Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) in Accounting with a minor in Management Information Systems from the University of Delaware.

Jan is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Pennsylvania and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). In addition she is an accredited Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) and holds the (NASD) Series 65 license.

Jan previously served as Treasurer for the Moorestown Lacrosse Club and as a troop leader for the Girl Scouts.
